As an independent contractor you're paid on a 1099. You are paid the amount you quoted, plus materials at cost — BootsOnCall's fee is the difference between what the customer pays and your quote, and it never comes out of your number. You're paid after the customer pays — never out of pocket. Connect your bank through Stripe to receive payouts (Stripe collects your W-9 / tax info as part of setup).
